The Ambassador of Japan, accompanied by a delegation from the Embassy of Japan, visited Nikan West Hospital on August 19, 2026. During the visit, the delegation toured various departments of the hospital, became familiar with its medical capabilities and facilities, and the Embassy of Japan’s designated physician was introduced to Nikan West Hospital.
Meeting Between Nikan West Hospital Management and the Japanese Delegation
The program began with a meeting between the management team of Nikan West Hospital and the Ambassador of Japan and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammad Reza Soroush, President of Nikan West Hospital; Mehdi Masoumi, Medical Director and Technical Manager of Nikan West Hospital; and representatives of the International Patient Department (IPD) of Nikan Hospital, headed by Ms. Fatemeh Karim-Nejad.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the importance of developing medical cooperation, introducing the medical capabilities of Nikan West Hospital, and familiarizing the Japanese delegation with the unique facilities and healthcare services available at the hospital.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the hospital’s capacity to provide a wide range of medical services and its distinctive healthcare facilities. In addition, the Ambassador of Japan officially introduced the Embassy of Japan’s designated physician to Nikan West Hospital, further supporting opportunities for medical cooperation and interaction.
Japanese Delegation Tours Nikan West Hospital
Following the meeting, the Japanese delegation toured various departments of Nikan West Hospital. During the tour, the delegation became familiar with the hospital’s departments, facilities, and medical services and raised their questions and concerns regarding healthcare and treatment services.
In the presence of a technical expert accompanying the Japanese delegation, the hospital’s medical and technical systems were also reviewed, allowing the delegation to gain a closer understanding of the quality and capabilities of Nikan West Hospital’s healthcare infrastructure.
Emphasis on Strengthening Medical Cooperation Between Iran and Japan
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding interactions in the field of healthcare and medical services.
The visit concluded with an emphasis on continued cooperation and the provision of high-quality medical services. The meeting and hospital tour also provided an opportunity to introduce the medical capabilities and facilities of Nikan West Hospital and further strengthen its international healthcare relations with foreign institutions and diplomatic missions.
